Abstract Introduction: The primary objective of triage in the Emergency Department (ED) is the early identification of time-sensitive patients, appropriate allocation of resources, and safe decision-making under crowding conditions.The performance of triage systems may vary depending on the clinical environment in which they are implemented, patient flow, resource availability, staff training, and electronic audit capabilities.
